Northwest IL Renewable Energy Coalition

     The Northwest Illinois Renewable Energy Coalition (NIREC) is an organization formed in February 2008 to unite the diverse renewable energy interests in northwest Illinois in a collaborative effort. The unique strengths and expertise represented by the group will hopefully yield new synergies and cooperative efforts in renewable energy production and promotion.
     Participation in NIREC is open to anyone with an interest in advancing renewable energy opportunities in our region. The group meets at the Stephenson County Farm Bureau in Freeport.
