SCFB Foundation scholarships now available

Applications are now being accepted for our Stephenson County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarships for the 2017-18 academic year - click here to download the application for high school seniors graduating this spring who will be continuing their education in an ag field, and click here for the college level application.

European River Cruise preview program

We're hosting one final preview program for our fabulous European River Cruise being sponsored through Lindstrom Travel. The preview will be held on Monday January 30 at 7 p.m. at the Farm Bureau, with Tony Caruana from Lindstrom Travel here to share the details. This incredible cruise leaves from Amsterdam on September 21 and cruises down the Rhine River, with a side trip on the Mosel River into France, before returning to the Rhine for the remainder of the cruise ending in Basel Switzerland.

Young Leaders meeting scheduled for January 23

The SCFB Young Leaders will meet on Monday January 23 at 7 p.m. at the Farm Bureau to continue planning for their upcoming 5K run on April 1 and other spring and summer activities. Food and beverages will be provided.

Ag Issues Update planned for February 8

SCFB will host a timely program on February 8 with the morning session covering recent changes in farmland assessment standards, followed by lunch and the afternoon "On The Road" session highlighting the latest rules and regulations affecting agricultural equipment and highway transportation issues. Com Ed offering great savings opportunities for farmers

Through a free program funded by Com Ed in northern Illinois, farmers can earn significant savings on energy efficiency upgrades in their operations. Currently you can get a free electric timer unit, ideal for block heaters and other cold-weather applications.
