Com Ed offering great savings opportunities for farmers

Through a free program funded by Com Ed in northern Illinois, farmers can earn significant savings on energy efficiency upgrades in their operations. Currently you can get a free electric timer unit, ideal for block heaters and other cold-weather applications.

"Fuel Up, Give Back" for United Way during December

Again this year, Stephenson Service Company and Adkins Energy are joining forces to support the United Way of Northwest Illinois. During the month of December, the two companies will donate 6 cents from every gallon of fuel sold at the Freeport Fast Stop location on East South Street to support the work of United Way in Stephenson and Jo Daviess Counties. Stop by and fill up for a great cause!

"Socks for Stephenson County"

The Conservation & Agricultural Partners (CAP) Foundation is holding its second annual "Socks for Stephenson County" drive collecting donations of new socks for distribution to needy families through the local Salvation Army. You can bring your donation to the Farm Bureau office through December 22, and complete details can be found by clicking here.
